Smartphone Awareness

Picture
"Smartphones offer both communication and safety benefits for parents and teens. However, like most technologies, they also pose some safety risks. Prents need to be able to talk to their teens about phone safety in a way that shows an understanding of the issues and the technology. Learning about adolescents phone use sends a message that you care and are concerned about them."- Taken from Smartphone Safety brochure.

Internet Safety

"The internet can provide incredible possibilities for kids- as long as children and parents are aware of the risks. In growing better understanding of the online world, you can in turn empower your child with skills to help him or her engage with technology in a safe and responsible way." - Taken from "The door that is not locked" brochure.

Mental Health
Positive mental Wellness is more than just the absence of mental illness. It can be seen as a state of mental health that allows one to flourish and fully enjoy life.Positive or good mental wellness is not something that we are just born with, it is something that we have to work at and develop. Having positive hobbies, interests and a positive support network around you are just some of the attributes that will help you develop positive mental wellness. Everyone experiences down times in life. The ability to cope with negative experiences varies greatly from one person to another and, in large part, determines whether people enjoy their lives.
